The self catering holiday cottage is set amongst some of Perthshire's finest scenery and ideally situated for touring highland Scotland. The Coach House, Scottish tourist board 3 star rating is hidden a mile and a half down a farm road adjacent to the owners property. An ideal spot to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet on holiday or a short break. Converted in recent years it offers very comfortable accommodation for four people, having two separate bedrooms and a spacious open plan living area with a log burning stove for those cosy Scottish evenings. Leading out from the lounge is a balcony allowing beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Inchtuthill lies near the village of Spittalfield which is between Dunkeld to the West and Blairgowrie to the East. The river Tay is less than half a mile walk away.
Historic Scotland surrounds the area with numerous castles and palaces. Glamis and Blair Atholl castles and Scone Palace to name a few. Enjoy Scottish food and live music in nearby picturesque Dunkeld. Larger towns like Perth and Dundee are within twenty to forty minutes away and the major cities of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen all within an hour and a half away with excellent shopping facilities. Of course many people want to come to Scotland just for the outdoor activities of which there is a huge choice.
We also offer short breaks particularly during the quieter months, but don't be afraid to ask anytime, we will always try to be accommodating if we can.
Outdoor activities: Too numerous to list everything but Scotland and Perthshire has so much to offer including golf, walking, cycling, canoeing, sailing, 4x4 driving, quad biking, shooting and of course fishing. Sightseeing: Castles, palaces ancient towns and cities full of Scottish history. Take a drive and enjoy breathtaking scenery, yes driving up here is still an enjoyable experience, stop at one of the numerous whisky distilleries or just find a quiet spot to have a picnic and admire the view. Shopping: All the major Scottish cities are within an hour and a half away by car and are also reachable by train from Perth and Birnam, they all have excellent shopping facilities. Also within easy reach are some very good antique centres for hours of quiet browsing with one or two also having excellent restaurant facilities. You can also have your food shopping delivered to the Coach house by the nice man/lady from Tesco's which can be found at www.tesco.com
